David Anthony Zylinsky – Born to Rock, Lived to Roll. On Christmas Day, 1963, the world got the ultimate gift: David was born in Zanesville, Ohio—a force of nature with a soundtrack all his own. From the start, he was destined to live loud, play hard, and leave an unforgettable mark. A self-taught musical powerhouse, David could make magic on any instrument—saxophone, drums, you name it—but his heart belonged to the electric guitar. His heroes were legends: Eddie Van Halen, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani and Ozzy Osbourne. And David didn’t just play—he shredded, pouring his soul into every riff like life itself was a stage.

His distinctive, high-voltage voice carried him into the United States Navy, where he served as a radio/signals operator aboard the USS Valdez FF-1096. Known as “Z-Man,” he sailed the Caribbean seas, bringing his trademark energy to every mission. After the Navy, David turned his charisma into a career in resort and travel sales—because if anyone could sell the dream of paradise, it was a man who lived it.

David and his beloved wife, Shauna, were partners in adventure, sampling resorts and savoring life’s best moments together. He loved cooking up feasts, hitting the golf course, and relaxing with Shauna and their cats. His journey took him coast to coast, but Florida was his final encore—a place he truly loved.

In November 2025, David passed at home in Royal Palm Beach, surrounded by Shauna, his cats, and his guitars—the instruments that told his story. His brave battle with cancer may have tried to dim his light, but David’s spirit was untouchable. His energy, his laughter, his zest for life will echo forever like the sweetest guitar solo.

David was more than a husband, a sailor, a musician—he was a legend in his own right. He is survived by his loving wife, Shauna Dell; his sister-in-law, Nanette Dean; and his brother-in-law, Robbie Dell. He was pre-deceased by his mother, Polly Ann McGrath.

So crank up the volume, raise a glass, and play something loud. Because Z-Man wouldn’t want silence—he’d want a celebration. Rock on, David. The world was your stage, and you nailed every set.
