Listen to Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Virginia Gail Werner — a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world on February 19, 2026, but her love, strength, and remarkable spirit will remain with us always.

She was many things — persistent to her core, lovingly “spicy” in the very best way, and yes, a proud doom-scroller on TikTok who somehow always knew the newest food trend before the rest of us. We’ll miss her 3 a.m. recipe shares and the morning chats about what we absolutely had to try next.

As a wife to Gary, she was truly his partner in everything. For 50 years, they built a life together filled with love, laughter, hard work, and plenty of ups and downs. No matter what life brought their way, they faced it side by side. They leaned on each other, grew together, and shared a bond that only deepened with time.

As a mother, she was fierce. She loved hard, worried deeply, and showed up every single time. Her persistence became the foundation her children stood on. She taught them to be strong, to stand their ground, and to never settle for less than they deserved.

As a sister, she was steady and honest — sometimes blunt, always real — and forever protective. You always knew where you stood with her, and you always knew she had your back.

But her favorite role of all was being Grandma. Her grandchildren were her heart. They softened her edges, brought out her laughter, and filled her days with endless joy. Whether she was spoiling them, giving advice, scrolling through photos of them on her phone, or proudly showing them off at doctor’s appointments, they were her greatest pride — and she made sure everyone knew it.

She is survived by her loving husband, Gary; her children, Robert, Richard, Rebecca, and Ryan; her grandchildren, Austin, Shelby, Brooke, Jacob, Aiden, Zoey, and Gabriel; her siblings, Yvonne, Tony, and Jon Jr.; and countless family members and friends who will forever carry her memory forward.

A private service will be held on March 7, 2026, in West Palm Beach, Florida. A celebration of life will follow on March 21, 2026, at her son Richard’s home in Lake Worth, Florida.

Though we grieve deeply, we also smile when we think of her fire, her determination, her humor, and the way she loved without apology. She was one of a kind — persistent, spicy, and unforgettable.

Forever loved. Forever missed.
