Hunter Pivec Quinn passed away suddenly on Saturday, January 17, 2026. Hunter was an amazing son, brother, uncle, nephew, grandson, friend and boyfriend. He had a huge heart and loved his family dearly. Hunter poured his heart and soul into everything he cared about. He made music with any instrument he touched. He trained tirelessly to help people and save lives as a volunteer firefighter. His entire life he never stopped fighting to be a better version of himself.

Hunter attended John Jay College in NY. He worked as a Systems Administrator and eventually a Senior IT Engineer at Conductor for 10 years. He went back to school at SNHU to pivot into cybersecurity because he wanted to help businesses like small companies or hospitals stay safe from cyber attacks.

Hunter fiercely adored animals, especially his constant companion, Winnie, who never left his side even at the very end. His passion for fishing with his brother, Nolan, brought him peace, joy, and like all beginner fishermen, frustration.

He is survived by his mother and father, Robynne and Kevin Quinn, his brother, Nolan, his sister and her husband, Kayleigh and Mark, his nephew and Godson, Maverick, his surviving grandmother Sharon Pivec, surviving grandfather Joe Swift and his girlfriend, Dana. All of whom are devastated at losing him too soon and will miss him endlessly. He has been reunited with his other grandparents, Helen Swift, David Pivec and Ronald and Elizabeth Quinn.

In lieu of flowers, we are asking that donations be made in his memory to the Bethel Volunteer Fire Department in Connecticut, in which he was so proud to serve. We will be celebrating his life in a private event with family and friends at a later date.
