Lidia "Lidi" Susana (Polischuk) Lucyk, 60, of Greenacres, Florida, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on September 13, 2026. Lidia was born on March 25, 1966, in Encarnación, Paraguay to Rosa and the late Pedro Polischuk. She was raised in Argentina then immigrated with her family in 1975 to later become US citizens. She graduated from South River High School from New Jersey in 1983 and later studied Cosmetology, building a career as a hairstylist that she lovingly practiced for over 40 years. Lidia married and had three daughters, Danielle, Stephanie, & Nicole, with former husband David Jaruchik. The family moved to Florida in the summer of 2001 attending Bethel Assembly of God. Lidia then remarried to Chris Lucyk in 2018, who loved and supported her through the final years of her life.
Above all, Lidia treasured her family. She deeply loved and adored her daughters and found tremendous joy in becoming a grandmother. She cherished her grandson, Lucas, and was overjoyed knowing that another grandson would soon be born to her daughter, Stephanie. Lidia was creative, artistic, and full of personality. She enjoyed drawing and painting, playing the piano, spending time at the beach, shopping, and watching true crime documentaries. She also loved cooking traditional family favorites, such as Empanadas and anything with Dulce de Leche. Her family shared laughter over her favorite movies and television shows and will especially remember her sense of humor and the many expressions, stories, and movie quotes that became part of her everyday life.
Her faith in God remained an important source of strength throughout her life, particularly during many years of serious health challenges related to Polycystic Kidney Disease and dialysis for 12 years. She endured many surgeries over the years, finding the last few months to be the greatest challenge in finding her strength. Psalm 23 held special meaning for Lidia, and she often spoke with gratitude for the prayers, support, and many blessings she experienced throughout those difficult years.
Lidia is survived by her beloved husband Chris, her daughters- Danielle, Stephanie, & Nicole, grandson, Lucas & grandson on the way, mother, Rosa & sister, Roxanne. She was preceded in death by her father, Pedro Polischuk. Lidia will be remembered for her love of family, her creativity and humor, the strength with which she faced life's challenges, and the faith that sustained her throughout her life. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Lidia's life on Friday, October 9, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Bethel Assembly of God, 4320 S. Congress Avenue, Palm Springs, Florida 33461.
