Susan "Sue" Grasso

Susan "Sue" (Schlesinger) Grasso, 83, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026, in West Palm Beach, Florida. Born on January 7, 1943, in Hartford, Connecticut, she was the daughter of the late Gerald and Bernice (McDonnell) Schlesinger.

Sue was a devoted mother to her children Nick (Wendy), Beth, and Jay (Michele). She cherished her role as grandmother to Timothy, Daniel, David, Carys, Camryn, and Cate and found great joy as a great-grandmother to Soren, Elise, and Amelia. She is also survived by her siblings Jean, TJ, Laura and sister-in-law Sandy. Sue was predeceased by her brothers Jerry and Michael.

A woman of creativity and passion, Sue had a love for sailing the open waters and expressed herself artistically through ceramics. She was an avid reader and had a remarkable gift for cultivating orchids that brought vibrant beauty into her home. Her home reflected her warmth and hospitality—a welcoming space for family and friends alike. Sue’s deep affection for animals was evident throughout her life, especially in the bond she shared with her beloved dog Lily Grace.

In accordance with her wishes, Sue will be cremated. A mass in her honor and a celebration-of-life luncheon will be held at a later date; details will be announced.
