Wendy Sue Speigner (Welty), 57, passed away from complications of colon cancer Saturday, September 28, 2024, surrounded by her family at her home in Avon Park, Florida. Wendy was born April 25, 1967 to James and Donna Elaine Welty. She is survived by her father James S. Welty Jr. and step-mother Donna Logan Welty of Fairborn, OH; her husband Michael W. Speigner of Avon Park, FL; her daughter Stephanie R. Gonzalez (Speigner) of Debary, FL, her sister Peggy A. Welty of Omaha, NE and nephew James Davidson, and her aunt Sande Morse of Dover, TN. She was preceded in death by her mother, Donna Elaine Welty, in 1999.
Throughout her life, Wendy was an uplifter and always believed that to inspire people, you don't show them your super powers, but find a way to show them theirs. And she did her best to live by that mantra, even when things were tough.
Wendy graduated from Fairborn High School Class of 1985, and went on to work in Website/Graphic Design and Marketing Support, working for herself, and helping her clients, one project and one smile at a time.
Wendy met her husband Michael when he was stationed at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and they married in 1989 and spent over 34 loving and fun years together. They have one daughter, Stephanie, and have had numerous fur babies of varying shapes and sizes throughout the years. She was an extremely proud mom of her daughter Stephanie, and was excited to recently welcome her new son-in-law, Albert, as part of their crazy family.
Wendy had a heart of gold for both people and animals and typically surrounded herself with a small group of close friends and family, which is where she felt most comfortable and loved.
There will not be a public Service at this time, but you can share your love and your favorite memories on her Facebook Memorial page.
With her passing being from an extended illness, and due to the loss of subsequent income, her husband and family would appreciate assistance to help cover end of life and previous medical costs in lieu of flowers. Any contribution would be graciously appreciated for Michael, her husband, who is a USAF and USCG Veteran on a limited income.
